 Our Music and Art Curriculum focuses on creativity, social-emotional, motor, language,  literacy, Music  helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words.  Art is a great vehicle for expression  because children can use it as a communication tool. Art and creativity teach problem-solving, which is a critical skill for success in life.

Parent & Me Paint Sessions

Saturdays –  parent/me painting – 1:00pm -3:00pm

Must be accompanied by guardian or parent
Canvas 16×20 / All supplies included with instruction

Bring your child, family member and/or friends to make it a group date to bond and create.
It’s a  fun and relaxed hour of painting for ages two and up with the family.

    • Bond with your child
    • Meet other like-minded parents
    • Give your child a head-start in ART
    • Spending time one-on-one during enrichment classes for children. 
    • Great for the stay-at-home parent or working parent.
    • Great for  parent meet-ups

Phonics & Music for Babies

Saturdays – Phonics & Music Time  for Babies (parent/me)

Must be accompanied by guardian or parent

Learning phonics and music  begins as early as ages 2-5 when children begin learning their “ABCs.” Join us for a fun and creative way of teaching reading and writing to your child through music to develop phonemic awareness—the ability to hear, identify, and manipulate phonemes—in order to teach the correspondence between these sounds and the spelling patterns that represent them. Our learners will:

  • Learn how to Alphabetic Code: Phonics and Decoding
  • Learn how to properly pronounce words
  • Improve reading skills and efficiency
  • Learn how to properly spell words
  • Improve reading fluency (text accuracy and speed)
  • Improve reading comprehension
  • Improve reading skills and efficiency

Parent & Me Craft Time

Must be accompanied by guardian or parent- ages 2-6

    What is SAC After School?

    Seven Arts Center Afternoon Art & Music Studio Classes is an off-site afterschool program Seven Arts Center. We offer arts enrichment activities for students every day that school is in session, and our programs run until 6PM. Seven Arts Center classes and programs are fully insured.

    Who teaches classes?

    Each Seven Arts Center class is led by one of our amazing artists, who is a working profes- sional artist and educator. Every program has an assistant who helps supervise the guided play and structured activities before and after their enrichment classes, as well as providing support during their classes, too

    How many are in a group?

    Age Assignment

    Seven Arts Center artists are placed in small groups of 7-10 students with other artists of the same age. We work to create a safe-space in which young artists feel empowered and comfortable. We offer a wide range of art experiences and projects as well as exposure to the artistic approach of multiple art instruc- tors to create an environment that encourag- es individual growth and preference.

    Do they receive a snack?
    • FREE Afternoon snack in accordance with USDA guidelines for nutrition.

    What are the music groups?

    Group Music Lessons Weekly: Vocal Ensemble, Drum Ensemble, Piano Group, or Guitar Group

    What visual arts do they learn?

    Painting and Drawing Group Lessons- oils, water color, acrylic, gouache, clay sculpture, illustration and cartooning
