J. Snowden Sr.CEO and Music Supervisor

He is from Ocala Florida, part owner of Seven Arts Center and owner of Pioneer Towing Service ensures all goes smoothly from tutorial services, performances, and workshops. He is also the audio engineer mixing up the sounds at every event. He enjoys working with sound reinforcement and recording systems since 2009. J. Snowden has been in the music business for over 7 years. J. continues to thrive in the music industry through the Seven Arts Center working in the Seven Arts Radio studio. He is an important asset to the Seven Arts Center Team!

O. MakebaFounder / Program Director / Art & Computer Instructor

With over twenty years dedicated to art but discovering it at 5 years old, Makeba has created a design company that satisfies the artistic pretention related to graphics, illustrations and everything the web needs. Owner and Operator of O.Makeba Designs, LLC, Makeba builds an educational perspective on technological art by providing tutorial sessions and classes for the Seven Arts Center. Makeba has also designed graphics, murals, and painting for her small and large enterprise clients.

Artistic Market Director / SACR Manager

She has a  strong background in marketing, market research, and web development. He oversees the production  of SACR,  all website content for SAC and SACR – site usability, search engine optimization, print collateral, online advertising, as well as all marketing campaigns.

Alexis Hollin - Vocal / Musical Theater

Alexis began working as a professional singer/songwriter in 2001.  Soon becoming the very first winner of McDonald’s “The Gift” Singing Competition, taking home over $12,000 in cash, performances on Good Day Atlanta, the Stellar Awards, and more. It then, began her journey of winning 1st place in 23 of the 25 singing competitions she would go on to compete in. .

Other Vocal Accomplishments: Background vocalist for Grammy-award winning artist, Monica (since 2015), Shared the stage with some of the following: Kirk Franklin, Ledisi, Bebe Winans, Patti LaBelle, and others.  Acting Accomplishments:  Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Neighbors from Hell” (Live/DVD), Black Nativity, BET’s “Sunday Best”, Madea’s Last Tour as well as many more.

Lance Thorton - Piano Instructor

He has more than 25 years of teaching experience with students ranging all ages and skill levels in piano. Lance has performed internationally as a solo concert pianist, a guest performer with orchestras, and as a chamber musician and accompanist.

Carla Rascoe - Acoustic Guitar/ Electric & bass Guitar /Piano / Latin instructor

She received her BA Degree in Latin & Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and works as a middle school instructor outside of SAC. Music & Latin instructor with over 15 years experience in rock, classical, Jazz, Pop, and composing.

Dasmyn Grigsby -Drum line & Percussion Instructor.

Graduate of Bethune Cookman University.
SPR 09 Initiate of the Delta Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. and former Marching Wildcat! Teaches proper technique and playing styles for the battery and pit percussion. Performances with the Atlanta Braves drumline. He was also highlighted during Beyonce’s 2018 “Coachella” performance.
